Hello Raccoons, both new and returning!
I am looking forward to meeting each and every one of you, and I can’t wait to be your guide to literary bliss. As your librarian, Ms. C, it is my joy and privilege to help you discover new stories, explore big ideas, and maybe even meet an author or two!
I hope you all had an adventure filled summer, because it’s time to set sail on a new one right here in the library!
What's going on in the Library this month?
Pencils sharp, minds ready to learn. As the students settle into their routines, we will read back to school themed stories, such as 'School's First Day of School" and "First Day of Howlergarten".
Time to read! Students are reminded of Library procedures, decorum, and how to check out books, of course! We will read library themed stories such as "Digging For Words", the story of Jose Alberto Gutierrez, and "Library Mouse".
How about a little book magic? The story selections this week are sure to enchant even the most reluctant reader. We are reading widely loved stories such as "Endlessly Ever After" and "Knight Owl" to get students excited about diving into a good book.
Here's a slideshow of our 5 top circulating titles, have a look!
If you're feeling inspired to read something new, have a look at the ALSC's (Association for Library Service to Children) list of Notable Children's books for the year;

Thanks for checking in!
Stop on by next month to see the latest news from Roosevelt Elementary Library, and please remember to bring your books back so we can all enjoy them! :)
Thank you!
Ms. C
